In a way, the two protagonists balance each other out. Players will need to go through grueling challenges to escape from the prison and that is just the beginning of the game. The game is rated M and does have occasional profanity and nudity in it. Team up with a friend to escape from prison and then get some revenge in this multiplayer. It is not an easy game and the difficulty level will be amped up just a few stages into the game. Inspired by vintage cartoons, Cuphead is an action game with a unique style. Players get to go on side-scrolling levels while shooting attacks from their fingers. This game definitely banks on nostalgia as it players against robots, humans, and creatures of all kinds. Players can choose to play in single-player or team up with a friend for co-op and take up the roles of Cuphead and Mugman. The game is rated E which means everyone from kids to adults can enjoy this game without worry. However, it is an extremely difficult game to beat. When opting for multiplayer, all bosses get double the health and are even harder to beat. Cuphead is available to play on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and PC.
3. Come With Me
Come With Me is a co-op multiplayer adventure game. Players get to walk in the shoes of Com and Mi who have to go on an adventure to restore light in their blacked-out village. Players will have to get past a number of challenges and puzzles before they complete their adventures journey. It is up to you and your friend to use Com and Mi’s characteristics to win in the game. Com is bulk and strong while Mi is agile and small. The puzzles in the game can only be solved by some exceptional co-op work. It is a graduate thesis of the University of Southern California, Interactive Media & Game Divisions major. It was completed by 1 student and 6 volunteers in one academic year. Players looking to dive headfirst in this It Takes Two alternative can find it on Steam. However, the game is not without its set of shortcomings. The graphics in the game leave much to be desired and the game is rather short in duration. Still, if you are looking for a fun way to kill some time with a friend, Come With Me is a serious contender. ESRB rating for this game is not available yet.

It Takes Two is the heartwarming tale of two brothers that set out on a journey to find the “Water of Life” for their ailing father. While initially the game was meant as a single-player where one player would control both brothers, it has gotten a co-op multiplayer feature for Nintendo Switch. Now, players can bring along a friend to solve puzzles, fight boss battles and explore the world of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The game is available to play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and Mobile. However, co-op support is only available for Nintendo Switch right now.
